Bench Inscription in Leigh Woods, Bristol

This inscription was carved onto an oak bench (which had been bought previously from another supplier) and is situated in Leigh Woods near Bristol, UK. This beautiful site is owned by the National Trust and the work involved liasing with both the Head Warden and also the client, who commissioned the work. They both wanted something fairly discreet, so the inscription is on the side of the bench which faces away from the path, with just the corner of a carved oak leaf on the top to hint at the wording on the side. The carving was done on-site in May 2010 and one day the client visited with her sons, both of whom had the chance to carve a little bit of the inscription themselves.
