The Hermit

This little chap is about 3 centimetres (1and 1/8") tall.

The piece was carved , in 1998, out of apple wood from a fallen tree in the garden of the house in which I was living at the time.

The house was in Sparkhill, an area of Birmingham.

He is still one of my favourite carvings.
