Leigh Woods Bench Carvings
The row of images below show the carvings on the backrest of the bench installed in Leigh Woods, Bristol for the National Trust in 2009. They overlap a little, but will hopefully give an idea of what the bench looks like. You will need to scroll to the right to see all of the images of the backrest. There are other carvings dotted about on the bench. Below are some examples. The leaves are carved on the seat itself and the hornet and sleepy dormouse are carved on two of the uprights which support the backrest.
