Demonstrated traditional woodcarving techniques at SignLink Live, a signmaker’s trade fair at Telford International Centre

Showed work in Woodland Arts, a show in Clifton, Bristol. The patron (and a coexhibitor) was Lord Bath, owner of Longleat.

Six evaluated sessions running Forest School activities with a young of young adults with learning difficulties at Boiling Wells in St Werburghs, Bristol
Two day woodcarving workshop working with pupils at Braishfield Primary School, Hampshire

2009-2014

Working part-time with young people who were not in education or employment, as well as corporate volunteer groups, teaching practical woodworking and construction skills at St Werburghs City Farm, Bristol

Pendant carving with local people as part of Wild City’s ‘Fun Days’ at Eastwood Farm as well as at an event at the North Slopes, both in Bristol
Running a two day woodcarving workshop for apprentices with the Carpenter’s Fellowship at Chelvey woodyard, Bristol
Working with older people and young disengaged people in Shirehampton to carve and build a public bench in association with LinkAge and the Wild City Project.

Selected Commissions:

2016 – 2018

Produced the ‘Jackie Collins Inspirational Woman of the Year Award’ for the charity Penny Brohn UK . Each award was specially designed and made for that year’s recipient.

2015

Designed and created a large oak bench which is now situated on Clifton Down in Bristol. Permission is very rarely given for artworks to be put in this spot and this bench is the only permanently installed woodcarving there, so it is a real privilege.

2014

Designed and made oak replica whiskey bottles for the makers of Famous Grouse whiskey, to promote their new ‘Naked Grouse’ line. This also involved live carving demonstrations at bars in Mayfair and Marylebone, London

2009

Designed and carved a garden sculpture for former Lord Mayor of Bristol, Geoff Gollop
Designed, carved and built the oak Centenary Bench for the National Trust at Leigh Woods, Bristol, commemorating a hundred years since the land was donated to the Trust.

Repaired and restored a severely damaged ebony sculpture by the respected Zambian carver Friday Tembo
